JQYU (JQY University) is a cross-campus network for LGBTQ Jewish college students. JQYU serves as an umbrella community for queer Jewish campus organizations as well as queer Jewish individual students.
Through JQYU, queer Jewish college students can:
Receive funding for queer/Jewish events they are spearheading
Share upcoming queer/Jewish college events on the JQY app so other college students can attend
The JQYU Gesher Fellowship is a new initiative of JQYU, funded by the UJA Federation. The cohort will consist of 10-15 Jewish queer college students in the New York area over the course of the 2022-2023 academic year. Participants will be introduced to all that New York has to offer and will be empowered to use these experiences to build ‘bridges’ between their queer Jewish campus communities. Fellows will gain professional development skills, build relationships, and put on their own "WOW projects" at the end of the year.
Applications for the Gesher Fellowship have ended. Stay tuned for more information next year's Gesher Fellowship.
